Feed Fifty People (FFP) is a non profit organization that has a heart for helping families with food insecurities. The organization was founded by Darnell and Bonita Marshall in March 2020 as a result of the pandemic. While many people were out of work and waiting for stimulus checks to purchase necessities for their families, both of us were still working. We decided to use our stimulus checks to purchase food and donate it to local church food pantries. At that time it was the best way we knew to get the food to those in need.
Over the past five years we have donated food bags to kids summer meal program and food to veteran and children group homes and organizations that help the homeless and individual families. In the spring of 2023 we partnered with the school social workers of a local school system to help students with food insecurities. In November 2023 we held our first drive through Thanksgiving turkey and fixings giveaway.
Based on 2022-2023 school year data there were over 700 students experiencing homelessness. The number has continued to increase since 2020-2021 school year. We continue to focus on assisting students and their families that have food insecurities. So far we have assisted hundreds of families and the need conitinues to grow.
Thank you to all of the grocery stores and individuals that have donated to us so far but we still need help! On this website you will find new and gently used items. The proceeds from the sales will be used to purchase food and other necessities to help students and their families that have food insecurities. We are also accepting nonperishable food, toiletries, feminine products and monetary donations. If you have items you would like to donate then please use the Contact Us form at the bottom of the page.
Let's come together and show love for students and their families. Help us to help them!
